The Stay Dir. Jason Ewert

Jason Ewert is a mild hoarder and thrift rat from Bemidji, Minnesota who was raised on VHS and his grandmother’s Filipino ghost stories.

"Alone with a deadline, a tormented illustrator unravels—becoming a beacon for evil."

The Stay is a reflection of our mental struggles as creatives; showing how isolation, self-sabotage, and codependency can distort the creative process and lead to collapse. They shot on Super 8 and 16mm, embracing the imperfections and anxiety that come with film. This is a personal film for them. A weird, wild ride, and a tribute to toxic cycles and the monsters they conjure.

All of our Ticket Sales, after covering general expenses, are split per project amungst participants. All of our merch sales go towards helping the show run - like the $200 we give our performers so they can do what they do best. Participants get to keep any money they make from their own merch or tips.
